Course Description:  This one-hour class is designed to identify all types of business communications including, but not limited to, face to face; telephonic; written (including emails) as well as all other types of technology used to communicate with one another.


Course Title:  Overview of Laws and Rules Electrical

Course Description:  This course provides an overview of the Laws (Florida Statutes) found in F. S. Chapter 455, Business & Professional Regulation General Provisions; F. S. Chapter 489 Part II, Electrical and Alarm System Contracting; and Chapter 61G6 of the Florida Administrative Code. It will identify the role of the Department of Professional Regulation, Electrical Contractors Licensing Board (ECLB) and familiarize contractors with the Definitions of Occupation and Class Codes and “Know Your Scope” chart.

 

Course Title: Workers' Compensation Frequently Asked Questions

Course Description:  This presentation provides a general overview of Florida's Workers' Compensation Insurance system with emphasis on frequently asked questions from their website.  At the conclusion of this class, participants will have a better understanding of the Florida Workers' Compensation program; how to navigate to their website; and how to verify if other contractors have the proper coverage.

Course Description: This one hour course has been designed to provide a broad overview regarding the OSHA Standards for the control of hazardous energy sources....Lockout/Tagout. It will provide individuals with a brief introduction of who OSHA is; what role OSHA plays to protect individuals in related industries; regulations governing these issues; and what employers are required to do in order to protect their employees.

 

Course Title:  Overview of Electrical Shock Drowning

Course Description:  This course will cover what electrical shock drowning is; various causes and issues relating to electrical shock drowning deaths; just how real it is out there on our waterways; and discuss both the NEC 2017 as well as 2020 codes and other references and materials related to electrical shock drownings.

Lunch along with snacks and beverages will be provided.
